About

A small firm that sells judgment.

IT Glory Consulting is a US-registered limited liability company. We advise owners and operators on the technology their business depends on, and we stay small on purpose.

The firm

Most companies between ten and two hundred fifty people are too small to employ a technology executive and too large for the systems they started with. They end up buying advice from the people who also sell the product.

We exist for the gap in between. We take no resale margin and no vendor commission, which means our recommendation is worth the same to us whichever way it goes. We work under our own name, on retainer or on a defined project, and we write down what we decide so the reasoning survives a change of staff.

The firm is deliberately small. Every engagement is run by a senior consultant who stays on it from the scoping call to the last review. If we cannot staff a piece of work properly, we say so and help you find someone who can.

How we operate

Plain language

Every recommendation is written so a finance lead can weigh it without a translator. If we cannot explain why, we do not recommend it.

Honest scoping

We would rather quote a small piece of work that finishes than a large one that stalls. Some calls end with us telling you to do nothing yet.

Vendor-neutral

No commissions, no resale, no partner tiers to protect. We will name the vendor we would choose and tell you what we dislike about it.

Written down

Inventories, decisions, runbooks, and access records are yours and stay usable if you take the work elsewhere.

Engagement examples

Representative situations, written without figures or client names. They describe the shape of the work, not a promised outcome.

Professional services

A firm lost a tender because it could not answer a security questionnaire. We ran a gap assessment, wrote the policy set, and prepared the evidence process so the next questionnaire was answered from a document rather than from memory.

Logistics

An operator running a critical application on unsupported hardware wanted out of the server room. We mapped dependencies, moved the workloads in three waves outside operating hours, and left the old hardware in place until a restore had been proven.

Non-profit

An organization with no internal IT had accumulated overlapping subscriptions and open accounts for departed staff. We produced an inventory, closed what was unused, and put a joiner and leaver process in place that the office manager could run.

How engagements are staffed

One senior consultant, from the first call to the last review.

The consultant who scopes your engagement is the consultant who runs it. There is no handover to a delivery team after the sale, because there is no sales team to hand over from. You will not be asked to re-explain your situation to someone new.

Where a piece of work needs a second specialist, that person is introduced by name before they touch anything, and their part of the scope is written down. We do not subcontract anonymously, and we do not staff an engagement with people we would not put in front of you.

The practice is small enough that capacity is a real constraint. If we cannot staff your work properly, we say so at the scoping call rather than taking it on and stretching.

Tell us what is not working.

Thirty minutes with a senior consultant, and a straight answer about whether we are the right firm for it.
